Good Evening Resident
Chelmsley Wood Newsletter 3rd February 2026
February already, where are the weeks disappearing too? It has been a busy set of shifts with a variety of engagements, no 2 days are the same in the Police.
The Chelmsley Officers have been working alongside Solihull Community Housing Officers conducting visits to their tenants on our area, you might have seen the PCSO’s doing patrols through the tower blocks and maisonettes over the last couple of weeks. These patrols and visits are for a variety of reasons including Noise complaints, ASB, Drugs (both use & cultivation) & neighbour issues.
We had a great Residents Hub on Saturday at the Onward Club and would like to thank the Parish Council for organising this event. I will keep you informed when we have the next date in the diary. Officers went straight from the meeting to Pendrell Close and had a large van removed for No tax, No MOT & No Insurance we can confirm it is No longer causing a nuisance to the residents. If you follow us at ChelmsleyWMP on X/twitter you can see our updates.
In response to the amount of ASB and criminal damage caused to buses and vehicles in and around the Chelmsley Circle/Moorend Avenue area, the officers on the team along with our Sgt changed shift times and conducted plain clothed patrols for a couple of evenings this week. This included working through the night into the early hours when most of us are tucked up fast asleep. These patrols resulted in multiple Stop Searches of both people and Vehicles, Cannabis was found during one of these searches. This was dealt with at the roadside whereby the cannabis was seized and the person involved received a community resolution with the requirement to engage with a drug rehabilitation service.
We had a full house of Streetwatch volunteers on Monday night so took the opportunity to have a group picture taken before splitting into smaller groups to patrol the area. If you fancy joining this amazing team drop me a response to this message, we would love you to join us.
